Samshield UK: Official Stockist
Espayo Equestrian is the UK's largest Samshield stockist and an official stockist, with helmets in stock across the Miss Shield and Shadowmatt models, each in a matt (Shadowmatt) or gloss (Shadowglossy) finish, plus the carbon fibre XC/XJ. Samshield build most helmets to order, and across the trade a wait of around five weeks is normal; because we stock in depth, in most cases you can order today and be riding in it this week.
Alongside the helmets we carry the full Samshield range: competition wear including show jackets, show shirts and breeches, casual clothing, and saddle pads and fly veils for the horse, plus helmet liners, bags and accessories.
Every helmet includes a free liner. In-stock orders placed by 1pm are dispatched the same day: choose next-day delivery at checkout, or standard delivery in 2–3 working days. Not sure of your size? Is Espayo an official Samshield stockist?
Yes. Espayo Equestrian is an official Samshield stockist and the UK's largest, so every helmet, liner and piece of clothing we sell is genuine Samshield and covered by the manufacturer's warranty from the date you buy it. We can also order any configuration in the Samshield range for you.
Do you have Samshield helmets in stock?
We hold the UK's largest live Samshield helmet range, across Miss Shield and Shadowmatt in matt and gloss finishes and the carbon fibre XC/XJ, in shells Small to Extra Large. In-stock helmets ordered by 1pm are dispatched the same day. If your exact combination isn't in stock, Samshield build it to order, currently around five weeks.
Which Samshield helmet should I choose?
The Miss Shield has the wider peak and a front band you can customise; the Shadowmatt has the standard peak and no front band. Both come in a matt finish (Shadowmatt) or a gloss finish (Shadowglossy), and both take the same range of tops, trims, blazons and crystals, so choose the peak first, then the finish, then the decoration. The XC/XJ is the carbon fibre model, lighter and sportier, with its own shell and liners.
How do I find my Samshield size?
Measure around your head 1–2cm above your eyebrows. Samshield 2.0 shells come in Small (52–56cm), Medium (55–58), Large (57–61) and Extra Large (61–64), and the liner sets your exact size within the shell. Can I customise a Samshield helmet?
Yes. Use our Samshield helmet configurator to choose the model, finish, top, front band, trim, blazon and crystals, then send us the configuration. We'll check whether we have it in stock and, if not, place the order with Samshield for you.
What happens if I have a fall in my Samshield?
Any fall where your head touches the ground can damage the inner shell without leaving a mark, so the helmet should not simply go back into use. The good news is that a Samshield doesn’t have to be thrown away. Under Samshield’s ReStart service, a helmet up to five years old (with proof of purchase) goes back to the Samshield Workshop in France for a full inspection; if the outer shell passes, they replace the entire inner shell along with the standard blazon, trim and top (custom decoration is kept), and return it to you as a safe helmet ready to wear again.
