Samshield casual clothing is the range for the yard, the lorry and the days between shows: waterproof coats and ponchos, puffer jackets and gilets, sweaters and hoodies, training polos, breeches, gloves and hats, for ladies and men. It carries the same cut, fabrics and detailing as the show-ring range, so it looks as good at the café as it does on the yard. The range changes each season as Samshield introduces new styles and colours, so what you see here is what is in stock now. Everything is designed to layer: a polo or sweater under a gilet or puffer, a waterproof over the top, and the same pieces work over the Samshield competition clothing between classes on show day.

Is Samshield casual clothing for riding or for everyday?
Both. The polos, sweaters, gilets and jackets are cut to ride in, with stretch where you need it and a longer back, but they are designed to be worn off the horse as well, so most riders wear them to the yard, in the lorry and out and about. The breeches in this range are the schooling and everyday versions of the show breeches.
Which Samshield jacket should I choose for wet weather?
For rain, the waterproof coats and the poncho are the answer: they are the outer layer, designed to be worn in the saddle as well as on the yard. The puffer jackets and gilets are the warmth layer, so on a cold, wet day wear a puffer or gilet underneath and the waterproof over the top. Which size Samshield clothing should I order?

How do I care for Samshield casual clothing?
Follow the label on each piece, as fabrics vary across the range. As a rule, wash cool at 30°C, close zips and fastenings first, avoid fabric softener on technical and waterproof fabrics, and dry flat or on a hanger rather than in the tumble dryer. Reproof waterproof coats occasionally with a wash-in or spray-on reproofer to keep the water beading off.
