Samshield Liners & Accessories
Samshield liners are what make the helmet fit: the shell sets the range and the liner sets your exact size, which is why every helmet from Espayo comes with a free liner. As the UK’s largest Samshield stockist we hold every liner size in stock, so a replacement, a spare for a second helmet or a change of size is dispatched the same day if you order by 1pm. We recommend replacing your liner every year or two, depending on wear.
Choose the liner for your helmet. The 2.0 liner fits every Samshield 2.0 helmet, Miss Shield or Shadowmatt, in sizes 52 to 64 across the Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large shells; the Round 2.0 liner is the same liner shaped for a rounder head; and the 2.0 Premium liner leaves out the front section for extra ventilation. XC/XJ helmets take their own XC/XJ liner in sizes 53 to 61, and 1.0 helmets take the Shadow 1.0 liner; neither is interchangeable with the 2.0. Which Samshield liner do I need?
Match the liner to the helmet first (2.0, XC/XJ or 1.0), then the size. A 2.0 helmet takes a 2.0 liner in the size range of its shell: Small 52–56, Medium 55–58, Large 57–61, Extra Large 61–64. XC/XJ and 1.0 helmets have their own liners, which don’t fit the 2.0.
What is the Samshield Round liner?
Samshield is naturally a slightly oval fit. The Round 2.0 liner is the same liner with the padding placed for a rounder head, and it’s the fix if a standard liner feels tight at the front and back but loose at the sides.
Can I wash a Samshield liner?
Yes. The liner lifts out of the helmet and can be washed at 30°C, then air-dried away from direct heat before it goes back in. Liners do wear with use, so we recommend replacing yours every year or two depending on how much you ride.
How do I know what size liner is in my helmet?
The type and size are printed on the label inside the liner. If it’s worn away, measure around your head 1–2cm above your eyebrows and use the size guide, or email us a photo of the label and we’ll identify it.
