The Spineshield saddle pad is jump cut for close-contact saddles, with a reinforced spine channel that takes pressure off the horse’s back and a breathable, moisture-wicking lining. The Flyshield is the classic Samshield fly veil in soft crochet with stretch ears; the Soundshield adds noise protection, with ears designed to muffle sound for a horse that is sharp in a busy arena. Both fit under any bridle. The ShieldRup stirrup irons have a wide footbed and shock-absorbing tread, in brushed aluminium, brushed champagne, pink gold and black chrome to match your helmet trim.

Flyshield or Soundshield: what is the difference?
The Flyshield is Samshield’s fly veil: a soft crochet base with stretch ears that keeps flies off and sits neatly under the bridle. The Soundshield does the same job but its ears are made to protect the horse from noise, so it is the one to choose for a horse that is distracted by the tannoy, applause or a busy warm-up. Both come with an embroidered or Swarovski crystal logo.
Which size fly veil does my horse need?
Samshield fly veils are made in one size, full, which fits most horses. If you have a cob or a very fine head and are unsure, email us or use live chat before you order and we will advise.
Which saddle does the Spineshield pad fit?
It is jump cut, shaped for close-contact and jumping saddles. The spine channel is designed to keep the pad clear of the wither and spine, which also suits horses that are sensitive over the back.
How do I wash Samshield saddle pads and fly veils?
Brush off hair first, then machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30°C with no fabric softener or bleach, and dry flat. Crystal pieces are best turned inside out in a wash bag to protect the stones.
