Samshield clothing brings the same French design and technical fabrics as the helmets to everything a rider wears. The range splits in two: Samshield competition clothing for the show ring, with show jackets, show shirts and breeches cut to be worn together, and Samshield casual clothing for the yard and everyday, from waterproof coats, puffer jackets and gilets to sweaters, hoodies, training polos, gloves and hats. Both are here on one page, for ladies and men, and as the UK’s largest Samshield stockist Espayo holds the current season in stock.
Each season Samshield adds new styles and colours and retires others, so the range on this page changes through the year, but the fit and finish stay consistent: tailored lines, stretch where you need it and the crystal or embroidered detailing that marks the brand out. Colour palettes carry across the pieces, so a casual jacket, a show jacket and a helmet trim can all be matched.

Samshield clothing: your questions answered
What is the difference between Samshield competition and casual clothing?
Competition clothing is what you compete in: show jackets and the Frac Wellington tailcoat, show shirts and competition breeches. Casual clothing is everything else, from waterproofs and puffers to sweaters, polos, schooling breeches and accessories. They are designed to be worn together, so a casual jacket goes over a show shirt between classes.
Which size Samshield clothing should I order?
Samshield clothing is French sized, so FR36 is a UK 8, FR38 a UK 10 and so on. Our Samshield clothing size guide has the full conversion and how to measure; if you’re between sizes, email us or use live chat before you order.
Is Samshield clothing in stock or made to order?
In stock. We hold the current season’s range across competition and casual, and in-stock orders placed by 1pm are dispatched the same day. If a size or colour is missing, ask us; we may be able to get it from Samshield.
How do I care for Samshield clothing?
Follow the label on each piece. As a rule, wash cool at 30°C, close zips first, avoid fabric softener on technical and waterproof fabrics, dry flat or on a hanger rather than in the tumble dryer, and keep show jackets on a hanger in their cover between shows.
